Fan artists? Looking for something more?
Leave the fan art aside and work on your own styles, your own characters, your own stories. Work on it, really hard. Be creative and express yourself with your art, like a real artist. Leave other’s work for inspiration. Try new things, create new styles, get crazy, study things from outside you can use on your own stuff.
Then you’ll get critiques on your own work, praise on your own stuff. And that’s rewarding, really rewarding. Knowing that someone likes what you do for you, to express yourself. You’ll attract new people, that will tell you something different, something useful. Because one comment on something that is truly entirely yours is better than a thousand comments, that usually say the same thing, and are only there for the show behind the art. While the “art ” itself, is completely ignored.
